I have a bunch of women readers of this blog that email me asking if I have any tips on losing weight.  So in this post I will go over some of the best that I can compile.   Make sure you return I will be adding to this list over time.  It’s not easy to lose weight, it’s a struggle for sure but there are some real tips and tricks that can help you along with your goals.  If you have been through it all and want some realistic results then have a look below, if you have your own tips or tricks be sure to leave them in the comments below and help others trying to lose weight.

Change Your Attitude!

Weight loss tips for women #1 is change your attitude! I know for me I get stuck in the same thoughts that negatively impact me.   It’s not easy to change your attitude but you need to catch yourself when you think thoughts like “ahh I don’t feel like working out” “I’ll start tomorrow” (big one for me) and other negative thoughts.   Make it fun! ya not easy to make working out fun, but if you can make walking/running/moving around fun it will be so much easier to attain your goal.   Trick your brain into thinking whatever is boring or challenging is fun.   It feels great to workout, it feels great to eat this apple instead of chips.   It really works, just keep repeating those thoughts in your head until it becomes real.   The hardest part for most people is getting past this first step, they want the quick fix but this is the best weight loss tip for women and men.

Make a Plan

This is another one that isn’t exciting or a real revelation but it’s essential to losing weight.   You really need to write down a plan, if you don’t make a plan your brain doesn’t know it’s a priority.  By writing down your plan to eat better it really affirms that you need to do this, trust me it really works.

Empty Your Home of Bad Food

If you don’t have any temptations around you it won’t be as easy to say “ok just this one candy bar”.  This also sounds obvious but it’s harder to do then say.  Make it easy to have a healthy snack, put a blow of fresh fruit or veggies on the counter.

Test Test Test

When going to the grocery store, really try out new food.  Even if it’s one new thing a week, a lot of people get stuck into their same old food and habits.  Try new things that are healthy and good for weight loss.   You will be surprised at what you thought didn’t look very tasty ends up tasting great.  This was big for me, the more healthy options I had the less bored I would get of food.

Get Full

Well you don’t really need to get full but if you’re the type of person that is really used to getting full and want to lose weight.  You don’t need to starve yourself to lose weight, find healthy foods that are low in calories and eat plenty of them.   If you really need to just eat low calorie foods until you feel full.

Move!

Another big weight loss tip for women and men is just move.  If you’re watching TV walk in place, you might feel silly but why not? Have a break at work, go for a quick walk while you’re snacking on your healthy foods.  Anytime you have some downtime just try and move around, walk, dance whatever that gets you burning calories.
